Supreme Hangin Tree Cowdog
Dagley’s Stoney – Supreme Hangin Tree Cowdog…
Dagley’s Stoney, the 2021 HTC Supreme Reserve Champion, is a Supreme Qualified, Hangin Tree Cowdog out of Trayers’ Savage Sam and Trayers’ Marti. Whelped December 19th, 2019
Stoney was a high drive dog that tended to work off adrenaline, so he worked best with a calm, steady handler.
David trained Stoney to gather and move cattle, and used him with the day to day work around the ranch.
David searched through several male Hangin Tree Cowdogs in search for his stud dogs, and added Stoney to our breeding program in the spring of 2021.

- 2022 HTC Maturity Finalist
Stoney sired several litters of puppies, before we finally let him go work on another ranch.
But we made sure we kept Dagley’s Remi, a female HTC out of Dagley’s Stoney x Dagley’s Annie, to carry on Stoney’s legacy.

Stoney’s Video Collection
Dagley’s Stoney, was 22 months old when he won the title HTCA 2021 Supreme Reserve Champion!
The Supreme class is only for Supreme Qualified Hangin Tree Cowdogs. David and Stoney were able to complete the Supreme Course in front of the judges at the qualifier the day before the 2021 HTCA Futurity, upgrading Stoney’s registration to Supreme Qualified and making him eligible to compete in the Supreme Class.
The Supreme class can be quite the challenge as it starts with a “blind fetch”.
We are so proud of Stoney, he had a perfect score all three days, and only came in second because his time was slower than the Supreme Champion.
Dagley’s Stoney is a Supreme Qualified Hangin Tree Cowdog out of Trayer’s Savage Sam and Trayers’ Marti. Stoney was handled and owned by David Dagley.

Moving the cattle is not always as simple as opening a gate to the next pasture. For this move we have to cross through intersecting pastures, gates, and roads. There is only one right way for the cattle to go to get there, and it is up to us to guide them.
Stoney is a 15 month old Registered Hangin Tree Cowdog, and Reata and Annie are both Supreme Qualified Hangin Tree Cowdogs. David Dagley has been training them to help gather and move cattle, and they are turning out to be exceptional ranch hands!

We were moving this cow and her calf through the corral to work them and then turn them back out to pasture.
Because the cow was a little bit lame and had a calf, she thought she’d rather stand and fight instead of moving off the dog.
