Dagley’s Little Leana is a well started, permanent registered, Hangin Tree Cowdog out of Trayers’ Savage Sam and Dagley’s Reata. DNA profiled.
Whelped February 3rd, 2021.
David trained Leana to gather and move cattle, and currently uses her for ranch work.
We would like to keep Leana as one of our registered Hangin Tree breeding females. However, she is related to most our Hangin Tree stud dogs, so we’ve decided to offer her for sale.
Leana is strong on the head, and has some eye to her, which can cause her to get a little sticky at times. If the cattle are moving, or if you have runaways, she’s all about stopping them. If the cattle are calm or standing, she usually won’t push them unless you show her that you are ready for them to be pushed.
If you work her with another dog, even a weak dog, she can amp it up and easily take the heaviest of the work load. For that reason I use her when I’m starting a young dog that’s not as confident on cattle. If the cattle challenge the young dog, Leana will take them head on.
I have not used her on pairs yet.

We weren’t able to film the whole thing because David needed to lead off through the gate to get the last of the calves to come through.
