Dagley Dogs Win New Titles!

To Texas and Back

We just got back from a week competing in Texas with our cowdogs at the 2023 HTCA Futurity, and are really happy with how things went.

The Hangin Tree Cowdog Association hosted another great trial, the cattle were perfect, the fellowship was great, couldn’t ask for better weather, and we came home with a couple new saddles, 4 new buckles, and some nice prize checks.

But one of the things we like most when we compete at the HTCA Futurity’s is that any new titles we win show up on our registration papers.

So, if you get a pup from us out of Dagley’s Mr. Tucket, your puppy’s papers will show the titles Tuck won on your puppy papers!

We are so Proud of These Dogs!

To start out with, Dagley’s Ginger upgraded her registration level to “Supreme Qualified” by successfully hunting up cattle and taking them through a course in front of HTCA judges.

Then, Dagley’s Remi won 2023 Futurity Champion.

Our son Ephraim competed with Annie in the Novice class and won 2023 Novice Champion! We are so proud of him.

Dagley’s Mr. Tucket won 2023 Supreme Champion and 2023 Reserve Horseback Champion

And finally, Dagley’s Stoney won 2023 HTCA Stud Dog of the Year!

When a Hangin Tree wins the HTCA Futurity, that dog’s sire has a chance to win “Stud Dog of the Year”. (You have to pay to nominate your stud dog BEFORE the futurity for it to be eligible.) So this year when Dagley’s Remi won the Futurity Championship, she gave Dagley’s Stoney the title “2023 Stud Dog of the Year”.

Now we are back in South Dakota, and are moving the last few things from our old house near Mobridge to the ranch where David will start working in November.
